Who can register?
Rising 3-year-olds (turns 3 before September 1, 2025), rising 4-year-olds, and rising kindergartners who are fully toilet-trained* may register for Summer at Seneca.
*Fully toilet-trained children must be able to do the following:
- Be accident-free in cloth underwear during the day
- Verbally tell a teacher that they need to use the bathroom
- Control the muscles used for toileting until they are on the toilet
- Get on and off the toilet independently
- Pull down/up their pants/underwear and/or lift dress/skirt
- Wipe themselves after using the bathroom
- Flush the toilet
- Wash/dry their hands
When is Summer at Seneca?
Summer at Seneca takes place over eight weeks in June, July, and August:
- Week 1: June 16-18 (no session on June 19 or 20)
- Week 2: June 23-27
- Week 3: June 30-July 3 (no session on July 4)
- Week 4: July 7-11
- Week 5: July 14-18
- Week 6: July 21-25
- Week 7: July 28-August 1
- Week 8: August 4-8
Where does Summer at Seneca take place?
Summer at Seneca is held on the campus of Seneca Academy in Darnestown, Maryland. Our 6.5-acre National Wildlife Foundation Certified Schoolyard Habitat is an amazing place to learn and grow!
